Using Hot vapor humidifier

I have a hot vapor vicks humidifier. Is there anyway to cool the vapor down by the time it reaches the cage by using longer tubing or something else? I was wondering if anyone has ever used before. Thanks!

I have one but if I ever use it, it is to raise the room humidity and not any where near the cages. An ultra sonic humidifier would be best for putting near the cage for you cham.

I use a cool-vapor humidifier. It's just one I found at Walgreens up the street. I went to Walmart to get a hose for it that now runs from the humidifier to the cage, and luckily it fit nice and snug in the vapor output.

I use one for humidifying the entire room. You don't want to shoot hot steam into the cage with the tube. Just set the humidifier closer to the enclosure for more direct humidity, but don't use the tube. The steam may end up as condensation in the tube before even reaching the end.

+1 on this way. I have like 4 humidifiers.
The warm mist ones are my favorite, but they use more then twice the AC (according to my Kill-A-Watt). They pump out a lot more mist though.

Then, I have this huge Honeywell floorsize unit on rollers. I dont know how many gallons of water that thing puts in the air, but my windows grow mold from so much humidity and moisture that I have to clean them every few weeks :D

Hot mist even if it was cooled it still is hot at the base of the tube this is how airborne mold and bacteria get formed. Your best bet is to use a regular humidifier one that can do the room the cham is in this is overall better for both u and the cham. I don't know if you have multiple chams and or what species but it will be good for multiple chams as well.

I'm out of my mind when it comes to chams so i got the Vornado cool mist humidifier with humidity Gauge fan speed and timer. It cost over 100 but well worth it all my members of my chameleon posse love it.

Thanks for the info guys! I didn't think about the bacteria aspect. I think I'll just leave it on the floor beside the cage for now until I get a coolmist humidifier
