my daughter has a 11 month old male veild he is very healthy but yesterday I seen on his back feet 2 outer nails are shorter than the middle one , this is on both hind feet , my question is that normal, the front feet all the nails are the same size he won't keep still long enough to take a picture

you can't see the short nails that good but the best picture I can get ,,,,,he won't keep still

Sometime the nails falls off or get caught on the mesh and can damage their nails if no other vines/branches available.

thanks ,,, i'm thinking they fell off because back two feet are they same ,,outside nails are short and middle one is longer ,,, thanks for the feed back , have a great week

do you have him in a screen cage? Sometimes when mine climbs on the screen cage the tend to break or fall off. No need to worry tho they grow back!! Every animal that has a nail (almost all) and the nail breaks, it will always grow back. I had my chameleon nails cut, bad mistake, but they grew back within a month or two. It just takes longer for them to grow back

They can only grow back if the nail root is not damaged, usually their nails do not grow back.
