hi guys i don't know if i'm overthinking but my young veiled female cham is acting a bit weird since i've added a new branch near her basking spot, i'm trying to add more branches to my enclosure, i've already added a new jungle vine and she's ok with it but now that i've added this other branch, as i said near her basking spot, she keeps hiding in the foliage in the morning for a good amount of time, maybe for 2-3 hours.
the weird thing is that she's already been on this new branch and she also used it to remove her shed and this let me think that she sees the branch not as a threat, if so why does she keep hiding in the foliage? i'm a bit worried she's not receiving enough heat in this way.
does she need more time to get used to it?
PS: when i was adding the branch she was going out of the enclosure, she came on my hand but accidentally she fell down on the soil of the cage and she hissed(i accidentally moved my arm quickly). idk if this is the reason why she keeps hiding now. of course she's not hurt.
