Veiled cham eats vegetables?

My Veiled cham is still young approx 2 months old, I have read that he can eat vegetables on a few different sites. I cant find any info as to what types, or how old he should be before I offer it. Any information would be loads of help

You can offer them dandelion greens, collards, kale, endive, escarole, mustard greens, carrot, squash, sweet potato, sweet red pepper, zucchini and once in a while apple, berries, pear, melon, etc. For the leafy greens just remove any thick stiff stems. Cut the veggies and fruit into appropriate sized pieces or slivers.

Any live plants should be well-washed and non-toxic since they will likely eat them too. I don't recommend using fake plants for them because they might nibble them too.

Grab a packet of mixed green seeds and plant them in two small pots out side in the sun. Once you have a decent patch of green leaves put one of them in the cage and your cham will eat them right off the stalks. Swap the pot in the cage with the one in the sun every few days so they can recover.

Make sure you sift the potting soil so there are no big bits that can cause impaction as chams tend to eat soil occasionally. Usually my greens are too thick for my guys to get at the soil but I some times put the pot in when the seeds are just sprouting as my veiled really enjoys those, biting them off just above the ground.
