Veiled Cham "Kiss"

Guys,
I just had quite the unique experience with my cham Davie Mo Jones (MoJo). Whilst I was partaking of the precious socializing time with him, I went to look closely at him and he turned rapidly and hissed at me, which sometimes if my face gets too close to him he will do that, but then as he stood with his mouth open, I gently blew air at him and he paused and closed his mouth and just looked at me placidly for a bit. But then HE SHOT HIS TONGUE AT ME! He hit me right below my nose where my upper lip connects to the nose! It was such an astounding moment for me! Defense? Mistook lip for some pink worm? Or just b**ch slapping me for blowing at him? I'll never know, but it sure was interesting! I love that little guy! :ROFLMAO::p:ROFLMAO::LOL:
 
I know with my rescue chameleon Monty, he would shoot his tongue at me when he was feeling defensive and scared. I've also heard of some chameleons shooting at eyes if they move quickly.

It's definitely a weird feeling. You can really feel how their tongue grabs at the tip.

It's a cool experience. I didn't feel the actual grabbing mechanism though :cool: But that would just add to the neat experience!
 
I don't know. I just feel uneasy as I read your post. I can't quite place the exact cause. It's just a mild feeling of malaise. Any way. It is know in some cultures, that in remote villages parents would tell their children that the chameleons would come down out of the woods at night and suck out their souls if they did bad things.

Haha don't worry Vincent has done the same to me, except in the eyeball! That was interesting to say the least.... I have no clue why he did it.

That's scary!! My chams free range. Should I be worried that they're going to sneak into my room at night and stealthily suck out my soul while Im sleeping :eek: :p

Does it mean your soul is bad and must be taken or your Cham is bad and must steal good souls??? o_O

Haha! Not all people have very good souls, in my opinion. But yes, even the sweetest of us have our "moments" :ROFLMAO:
