Veiled Cham not eating.

So I have a 4-5 month old veiled female Chameleon that I bought with the male. They were in the cage together for the first two days (Satuday and Sunday ) and didn't show any aggression, but the female wasn't eating so I moved her into a zilla screen cage and she still won't eat.

  • Veilied Chameleon , Female 4-5 months old. Have owned for 3 days.
  • Handling - have held it once on the first day.
  • Feeding - Tried gut loaded crickets ( apples, tuurnip green, carrots) and small superworms.
  • Supplements - ordered two kinds. Can't remember off the top of my head but one you use everyday and other only 2-3 times a month.
  • Watering -Have 2 diy droppers that drip every two seconds. Mist cage 3 times a day. Humidity never drops below 60.
  • Fecal Description - HAS NOT POOED AT ALL.
  • History - They breeder I bought her from seemed to know what he was doing, gave me all correct information.

Cage Info:
  • Cage type - Zilla -18" L X 12" W X 20" H ( not permanent )
  • Lighting - Boh lights brand new. 75 watt basking bulb, and 10.0 uvb.
  • Temperature - Basking spot is 90's, bottom of cage is around 70, night temp is 66.
  • Humidity- Stays around 70 and 85. Sometimes gets to 65 in the later afternoon. Mist 3 times a day sometimes more.
  • Plants - no live plants.
  • Placement - Both cham cages are next to each other with a big sheet of paper separating them. Both are in corner away from vent. No fan.
  • Location- North Georgia ( US)

Current Problem - Cham hasn't ate sense I've had her.

It can take a couple of days for them to eat in a new environment. As long as she's drinking she should be ok for about 5 days or so.

Try lowering the basking temp and humidity.

Basking temp of 85F and humidity around 50%-60%. Constant 70%-85% is too humid for Veileds.

A new cage can definitely cause them not to eat for a few days. Use a feeding cup so you can monitor food intake, but as long as she is drinking she will be fine for a week. You may want to get some small silkworms or hornworms to tempt her to eat.
