Veiled Chameleon aggression question

Hello,
I have a veild chameleon who is approximately 5-7 months old. I have had him for about 3 months. When he was younger, he was not so aggressive, more shy. But lately, now that he is a lot bigger, he is super aggresive and will barely let me get near him with out him hissing, or even biting me at times. I know that veiled chameleons are one of the more aggresive type of chameleons, but i want to know if this is a phase or not. Will he calm down as he gets much older?

Niko.

i have two adult veiled's they are both very different, one the larger of the two, always hisses, bites, but i just go for him anyway, he cant really hurt you. once i have him out he changes completely. The other usually just walks right on my hand, but they all have their moments. Chameleons are generally not nice animals.

it all depends on the cham :)
iv heard alot about chams getting agressive when they hit PUBERTY!!
lol typical teenager :p
my chams are great in their own way but have way different personalities.
ruru = very friendly MOST of the time other days she will shy away and hate me.
only time she is ever agressive is when i get the camera out

thanks guys for you input. I am happy the way yoshi is either aggressive or not. hopefully he will get more used to me as time goes on. until then thanks again!

Each is different!

Each Cham is different it could be a phase and or it could be just "their personality"... There are many members on here who say free ranging has helped tremendously with aggression issues, not sure if that is something you want to explore or not.

Good luck!!!
