veiled chameleon care

any thing you disagree let me know
Congratulations want a veiled chameleon. first lets buy or make a screened cage babies get a small.juveniles get medium. adults get a large cage or bigger buy that then buy a humidifier for people never buy a reptile one they don't last long. buy a flourescent fixture for a uvb flourescent bulb. then get a basking bulb. just get a regular 60 watt bulb. then buy a pothos plant can buy others like ficus but can be mildly toxic. then get a mister or dripping system. next you buy the chameleon. the cool ones i would say are the ones that you get to pick a color. like orange crush or high orange. don't buy fom pet stores they don't do good stuff to their animals. or breeder you can buy from. you got it now. you get some crickets they from online or pet store how to gutload them you give carrots fish flakes, lettuce, and other little things to find around the house. to give drinks get water gels or a paper towel with water in it. put them in a tub juveniles have to eat every day abot 12 of them adults eat 15 every other day. you need to dust them in calcium or they will get MBD. calcium with d3 needed and multi vitamin other foods such as mealworms or wax worms need to be a treat babies can eat fruit flies. another good stable diet is dubias. I won't talk about breeding so this is i'm going to talk about today.:):):):):):D:D:D:D:D:cool::cool::cool::cool::

So if i got my veiled i could not put it directly into my 24x24x48 reptibreeze he would not be able to be in it? also do i need a humidifier if i spray him multiple times a day like i do my water dragon?

I totally agree, but I don't think a humidifier is necessary, too much humidity could possibly cause a respiratory infection, a regular one in the room would be fine to keep the humidity at a good level, but not one directly putting humidity in the cage, thats just my opinion on it, and if the chameleon likes to eat plants alot like mine does, maybe a hibiscus instead of the ficus and pothos, but it would need extra care because hibiscus are high maintenance plants. I put my chameleon in a pretty large cage when he was a baby, it probably wont be a problem if it can find its food. Good idea to post this for someone to read before they buy a veiled chameleon! :)

Congratulations want a veiled chameleon. first lets buy or make a screened cage babies get a small.juveniles get medium. adults get a large cage or bigger You dont need to buy/make three cages. you can start with a baby cage, then around 6 months, or depending on size, you can upgrade to the adult cage.
buy that then buy a humidifier for people never buy a reptile one they don't last long. buy a flourescent fixture for a uvb flourescent bulb. then get a basking bulb.
just get a regular 60 watt bulb. the wattage is dependent on what you need to get a proper basking temp and gradient temps throughout the cage. for example, I use a 100 watt bulb because my place is colder.
then buy a pothos plant can buy others like ficus but can be mildly toxic. then get a mister or dripping system. next you buy the chameleon. the cool ones i would say are the ones that you get to pick a color. like orange crush or high orange.
don't buy fom pet stores they don't do good stuff to their animals. while this is mostly true, mainly of petsmart and petco, not ALL petshops poorly care for their animals. my male veiled came from a petshop and hes amazing.
or breeder you can buy from. you got it now. you get some crickets they from online or pet store how to gutload them you give carrots fish flakes, lettuce, and other little things to find around the house. like what random things around the house? first off, NEVER gutload with fish flakes, there is a higher concentration of protein in this, which is bad for your chameleon. If you need proper help with gutloading, read sandrachameleon's blogs on it. I use fresh fruits, veggies, nuts, and seeds, various items for each feed i do.
to give drinks get water gels or a paper towel with water in it.i never give water to my crickets and i am breeding them. the fresh fruits and veggies have enough water in them to do this. and crickets will eat paper towels
put them in a tub juveniles have to eat every day abot 12 of them adults eat 15 every other day. the size of the cricket mandates how many they eat. not to mention, most adults do NOT eat 15 every other day. my adult male veiled eats about 5-9 every other day to every two days.
you need to dust them in calcium or they will get MBD. calcium with d3 needed and multi vitaminthis is correct, but if you typed this for new owners, you need to include the schedule. calcium without d3 for every feeding, calcium with d3 twice a month, and a multivitamin twice a month. OR buy repashy all in one calcium plus, which has everything in it that a cham neesd.
other foods such as mealworms or wax worms need to be a treat these are ok foods for treats. like one bug a week. but they are not good for nutrition. a varied diet is best with any lizard. pheonix worms are high in calcium, and crickets, silkworms, and dubia roaches are considered staple feeders. though the staple should only make up about 20-30 percent of the diet.
babies can eat fruit flies. they can also eat pinhead crickets.
another good stable diet is dubias. I won't talk about breeding so this is i'm going to talk about today.:):):):):):D:D:D:D:D:cool::cool::cool::cool::

While I commend what you were trying to do, you need to make sure you have your facts right before posting something like this.
there is alot more to caring for a chameleon, of any kind, than just what you put.
I hope you will read my comments and learn from them.
