Veiled chameleon eye problem

Hey I have posted before. About my female veile and the advice I got was excellent. I now have another issue and it's her one eye lately one eye is always got a goupy substance on it and I have to use warm water and soften it up and it comes off just wondering if this could be a lack of vit A?

Since it has a substance that keeps coming back I would think it is some sort of infection. I would recommend taking her to a vet as she may need eyedrops/antibiotic.

Vitamin A deficiency usually starts with one eye staying closed, but to my knowledge there would not be a buildup in this case.

If she has discharge coming out then, that sounds like an infection. I would not mess with it, and get her to a vet. Untreated infections can cause a chameleon to lose their eyesight in the effected eye.

I agree with the other 2 replies.
An eye discharge indicates infection.
The infection can be limited to the eye or it can also be a sinus infection along with the eye infection.
Having said that, a vitamin A deficiency can lead to eye and skin problems.
Cham eyes are too important to delay getting vet help from a good, cham knowledgeable vet.
It's very important that the vet know how to treat chams because ones who don't can do more harm.
