Veiled chameleon package

Hi, i was wondering if anybody has ever gotten the veiled chameleon package from LLLreptile because i was planning on getting it for my first cage. Is there anything else i need for it other than supplements, fogger/rain system? Thanks! :D

Uhhhh...not sure what comes with the package, but you will need a dome lamp for basking and a hood for either a coil UVB or a tube UVB. Without these items, your cham will not live long.

A suggestion for you before you purchase your veiled chameleon package. Research, research, research. It is the BEST thing you can do BEFORE you bring home your veiled.

Hey there. Having just purchased a set up, I figured I would chime in on the subject.

I did a lot of searching to find the best prices for a new veiled baby set up. I searched through countless websites/sponsors, and local shops as well. The cheapest prices I found, including shipping, was to buy the supplies from Amazon.

I ended up paying about $220 for cage (30x18x30 Zilla), reptisun 5.0 24" with hood, dome fixture and bulb, thermohygrometer, vines, three plants (ficus, hibiscus, and pothos purchased locally), and all three supplements. And that $220 was shipped and only paid 8 bucks in tax, despite recent CA tax laws.

Additionally I bought a MistKing plus their "rain" accessory shipped for about $140.

I did see those LLL set ups, but thought they were a little pricier or the cage was smaller... I personally wanted a wider cage for my baby veiled than just a taller cage (I noticed many were 16" or 18" for length/width).

Anyways, I hope I am some help and I do not mean to offend anybody's complete set ups... they are convenient and LLL is obviously a reputable seller (and sponsor). In fact I plan on making a drive there soon to one of their stores to check it out and avoid shipping costs.

For me personally, it was fun to research all the supplies that are needed (I had a veiled about 10 years ago so had a good idea, but still needed to brush up to make sure to give the best care to my little cham), and also nice to see I was getting the supplies cheaper, even if it was only 5-10 dollars less each (shipped, and small tax).

Good luck!

reptibreze 24x24x48 $140
2 bendable vines $20
calcium with d3 10$
calcium no d3 $7
multivitamins $13

few real plants $20
or artifical plants and decor $40-50 (well decorated)
dual light fixture $30
uvb bulb $20
Heat bulb low wattage $10

now this is all you need pretty much... lets add all up
=about 250$ .... dont wanna add all up lmao...

this is much better deal buying things seperately, and if you search around you can do a better price. I dont think the package gives you such a great deal for that price to be honest. and it doesnt have all the necessities like the calcium powder, light fixture, multiviatmins, (it has little foilage).... to me its not worth it.
