Hi I have a 5 month old veiled chameleon who I got 2 weeks ago. Pascal is very friendly and has settled in comfortably in his enclosure. I’m worried he might be sick cuz he has a white line forming around his mouth. And after he eats his insects he try’s to eat dirt and vegetation. I have covered all dirt with rocks to prevent him from eating it but he still manages to get some. Also I have put safe non toxic plants so he can munch if he likes. The temperature is 85-70 and humidity is 50-70%. I feed him crickets, horn worms and wax worms and super worms. When I first got him I put moss into the bottom of the enclosure and quickly got rid of it the next day, a week later I noticed he started pooping out a lot of moss (I didn’t even kno he ate it). So his poops smells and it’s been black and dry these past few days as he is passing moss and dirt. His urates is healthy and white with a touch of yellow. But I’m worried about him, I think he might have parasites or mouth rot. He doesn’t always have the white line on his mouth but it does appear up daily. Also he started shedding and it’s been taking over a week for him to complete his shed. Any tips how to help him shed? Should I take pascal to the vet?
