Veiled chameleon rubbing eye

So I have had a make veils chameleon for about 2 months now and he has something wrong with his eye I think. He will be sitting there minding his business but he will close his eye and begin to rub it on his surroundings. And then he get like a air bubble in his eye and then opens it and is fine should I be considered and if so how can I help

He definitely has a problem with that eye. Unfortunately the only thing I can say is to take him to a good chameleon vet....and in the meantime can you answer the questions in the following thread..
