Veiled Chameleon sleeping during the day?

Cage Info:

* Cage Type - Open air screen cage. 18x18x36
* Lighting - 1 60 Watt daylight blue bulb and 1 60 Watt red glass heat bulb.

* Temperature - 70° during day time, at night it ranges from 60-65. Basking spot is probably around 75°
* Humidity - What are your humidity levels? How are you creating and maintaining these levels? 60-70
* Plants - Yes, I've been using bamboo and maple tree branches.
* Location - Yes it's 10 feet away from an air conditioner but that's the only place I can put him. And we walk in front of him to get to the kitchen.

Chameleon Info:

* Your Chameleon - Veiled Chameleon, male, 3-4 months old
* Feeding - Gut-loaded crickets and super mealworms. I keep at least five crickets in the cage at a time, I don't let them run out so he can get them whenever he wants. Feeding the crickets Fluker's Cricket Quencher and Fluker's High-Calcium Cricket Diet
* Supplements - I haven't been dusting my feeders
* Watering - I spray heated water down from the top his cage twice a day, once in the morning, once at night. I spray for about 2-3 mintutes. Yes I see him drinking.
* Fecal Description - white and black, a little yellowish
* History - When I got him he had a bulge on his eye that I suspect was an eye infection but it's gone now. BesideS that, there wasn't much health history.
* Current Problem - Cham is sleeping during the day, seems disinterested in his food and hasn't been moving much this last week. He seems weak and I don't know how to help him. in the beginning of the week he was trying to catch his food but his tongue kept slipping off of it.

I don't have any pictures of her from the past week, but I already called the vet and have an appointment on friday. Thank you for helping me, I'm very thankful

Also don't feed mealworms as they are all shell and fat, nothing nutritional. Honestly, flukers is garbage. You need to be dusting the feeders and I'm sorry if I'm sounding rude in any way I'm not trying to like critique every move but just trying to help

Also ditch that red bulb ASAP. Just use a regular household bulb for heat and that daylight bulb is not a UVB bulb, you will need UVB as well as heat, that may be the entire problem right there. Also you must dust your feeders. A bunch going on here with the husbandry issues. The AC unit blowing into the cage will also cause problems if you don't address that. I get it if you are low on space, but that is also going to cause issues in the near future, especially one so young.

Yes, getting him to a vet is a must at this point. Also a few things I see that need to be fixed now though. For starters, he needs a UVB bulb. That in itself could be the main issue. Also, I agree with PJK, ditch the red bulb. He should have a good source of UVB plus a basking bulb, then no lights at night at all. And you definitely need to be dusting daily with calcium with NO D3. Then you need calcium with D3 twice a month and a multi vitamin twice a month.

I would also up his mistings. Yellow in the urate is a sign that he is not getting enough water. At the very least add a good sack down of the cage mid day.

Thank you guys for all of your help, I will defiantly get all that changed and from now on the air conditioner won't be on since it's getting into winter, we'll be taking it out and I'll relocate her elsewhere in the spring. I'll also look into the bulbs and dusting my feeders

That's what we're here for....also, read the care sheet and try to follow it to a T! When they go downhill the go fast so having the proper husbandry is crucial. His basking temp should be higher...more like 85 for his age.

here is a link to the care sheet....read, read and reread.

We are all here to help each other. I apologize if it comes off as rude, I saw it that way for a while, but everyone here just cares about each others animals and want them to be happy and healthy

I'll keep all that in mind, you explained some things I was confused about well. I'll be sure to up his mistings and get the correct bulbs and dust the crickets and I have an appointment with the Herp on friday

No no I understand, it doesn't sound rude. I just want to get him back to being as healthy as possible

Okay, thank you so much. I'm going to copy all the information and save it in my phone for future references

Thank you guys so much for your input, I'm going to immediately change the bulbs for UVB and heat and no bulbs at night, I'm going to go get them today with the calcium NO D3, no mealworms, different cricket food, no more AC, no red bulb, more mistings. Thank you guys for all the help. I will defiantly be consulting CF more often.

I just got the new bulbs a few hours ago and already, Vivid is looking so much better! He's now laying on the branches anymore, he got up and is moving around and he actually ate for me! Thank you guys so much!
