Veiled Chameleon

Hi everyone!

A few months ago I posted about my chameleon having a crusted eye, we took her to the vet, and unfortunately she did have a double eye infection. However they gave us ointment and she is all better now! They also gave me "Oxbow Carnivore Care Package". It is basically packaged food, that you mix with water it becomes a creamy mixture that you feed them through a syringe. She has been eating it, and enjoys it. However, she hasn't been eating mealworms or crickets. I am afraid that I have trained her to eat from a syringe. She refuses to eat mealworms/crickets. Any suggestions on what to do will be appreciated!

Also, I know Chameleons can eat flowers from orchids, but can they eat the actual leaves?

Thank you!

Not sure about the orchid leaves.

However I'm pretty sure if you just leave the crickets and mealworms in there for a while she'll decide to go get them.

How long were you feeding her out of a syringe for?

The vet says I have to feed her daily out of the syringe, but I have been feeding her it since the 3rd. I have put mealworms out were she can see them, but she has absolutely no interest in them. I have also tried giving her crickets, but once again, she showed no interest.:(

Have you tried cup feeding?
Sometimes they will take an interest if they see bugs moving in a cup, just avoid clear ones.
