Veiled egg laying period

What is the average time between when a veiled female first starts showing mating colors to when she lays her eggs?

I don't think there is a definitive answer to that. My first female had her adult colour at 6 months and did not lay until she was 14 months. My second female got her adult colours at 6 months also, but didn't lay her first (and only so far) clutch until she was 20 months.

I agree with Tiff here. I don't think there is an average time. Each female is different. Now if they are mated they normally lay around 30 days from the mate date.

Alright thanks. She is still gaining weight but from pics I've seen on the forum I think she has a bit to go still.
