Hi, been a while since I posted here. But I have a problem that seems to be bigger than my local resources and even the vivarium in Berkley, CA can't give me a solid on what is going on here. My girl is named "Cammie" and she is 11 months old. Over the past two or three months she has developed an eye problem in her left eye. I hit roadblocks affter calling around local businesses and vets. I was lead on all kinds of wild goose chases. Everything from changing her monsoon water with distilled water from purified to putting a humidifier next to her cage. Vitamins are always introduced to her since we got her, her environment is clean, warm, and has plenty of moisture. She wakes up to the lights at 8 a.m. and usually goes down every night around 30 minutes before the lights go out at 10 p.m. I have been told to change the lighting which was another chase. She is a good little girl and only has minor issues with anything, (usually eating) and that comes when I have to leave for a job that GE calls me to work. Usually I am gone 2-3 weeks a month. She has gotten used to it more since we got her so I'm not overly concerned about the lack of normal appetite when I leave.
I currently only have one solution to her problem and that is to clean and flush her eye about once a week using saline solution mixture diluted with purified water from a 5 stage filter. At this point, her problem may not be a problem at all, but I don't want to risk "chance" and would rather figure the issue out to help her.
If you have any solutions or experiences that may help me out with her that would be awesome. i'll attempt a pic to attach to this thread. Thanks for your help.
