veiled on ground

hi guys, ive been positing some things on here for about a week now and i wanna just thank everyone that has helped me so far.
i need to ask tho,why does my chameleon spend lot of time walking around the bottom of the viv??

Typically if your cham is spending a lot of time on the floor of the viv it means that the temps are too hot at the top for him/her to be up there for any period of time. Check your temps and make sure it is not too hot. Shouldn't be any warmer than mid 90's for an adult

maybe she is looking for a place to lay eggs? or trying to digg upp soild for her to eat? they do that when they lack minerals or calcium.

I think if you post pictures would help other to help you

95 is too hot for veileds.

contrary to what google says, veileds shouldn't have temps abouve 90 at the max, and I personally don't keep veileds that way.

Well if the urates are white, that's fine.

I use an auto mister, that goes off ever two hours from 8 am to 6 pm.

best invention ever when it comes to my chams, but then again, I house 6 chams. so its easier that way.

Just put it in his cage or in his cup.

Some veileds will chow down, others not so much.

my guy wont eat veg at all. unless its a scheffelara.

For the fruits, one thing I found that was helpful with my veiled was placing little bits of berry or whatever (I used raspberry) around the enclosure and vines, so they almost look like real fruit on a plant.

He refuses to eat anything but live feeders in the feeding cup, but when I started placing the food in more "natural" ways instead he chowed down! (Not as enthusiastically or quickly as with live food, but he still ate it). I also found it helpful to put the fruits out more in the evening, a couple hours after he's had his normal crickets or worms or whatever. No idea why (might just be a personal thing for my cham) but it has seemed to encourage fruit eating. So experiment! :D

No prob! I've had mine less than a month, and have only just started to calm down from the daily panic. I think it's kind of a rite of passage when owning a chameleon! :)
