Get pothos or shleffara, they are very easy plants, pothos is pretty much impossible to kill

Live plants are the best because one they look really cool and more naturalistic.2 because yes they do maintain humidity really good and last some chameleons will actually eat certain plants you put

Inside the cage, the pothos is harder though, if you take a 2x4, cut it, and lay it ontop of the cage, u can screw a cup hook into it, and hang your pothos from that.

oh, and make sure you wash the plant & soil before you put it in your chameleons viv, and also put stones over the soil to prevent impaction
