Veiled Veggies

my Veileds don't really eat veggies. Occasionally they would nib on the greens I leave in, but ignore veggies. They do love their jade plants though

because at one point i gave him some dandelion leaves and he seemed to like them but the rest of the time i feed him crickets and mealworms

Dandelion leaves are good for your cham...read Sandra's blog - she's a wealth of information. If your cham won't eat the fruits and veggies itself, then gutload your feeders with them...its as good as your cham eating the stuff himself.

You can offer your veiled an assortment of greens such as dandelions, collards, endive, escarole, mustard greens, kale, etc and veggies such as carrots, sweet potato, sweet red pepper, squash, zucchini, etc. You can also offer it a small amount of fruit such as apples, pears, berries, melon, etc. You can chop all of it up or offer thing like apples, pears, squash, etc in thin wedges impaled on the branches. The leaves can be offered in chunks too but I remove any hick stems.

my veiled will eat kale, collard green and mustard greens, (not really dandelion)
he chooses to eat his vegies before his insects so i offer only a little, i also dust them
