Veiled wont eat :(

hey guys im new here and i got a new veiled about a week ago and i havent seen it eat a lot...im feeding it crickets at the moment but i dont see her eating them
they are black crickets..
i am using a 100W bulb for an hour then the rest is a 50W bulb UVA/UVB
it is a mercury bulb and i know they dont reach far into the tank but the branches are straight to the top of the screened cage (explorarium LARGE)
so im guessing the UVa/UVB bulb passes through//
but she does drink ALOT
so help me please~!

Humidity - What are your humidity levels? How are you creating and maintaining these levels? What do you use to measure humidity?
Plants - Are you using live plants? If so, what kind?
Location - Where is your cage located? Is it near any fans, air vents, or high traffic areas? At what height is the top of the cage relative to your room floor?

Chameleon Info:
Your Chameleon - The species, sex, and age of your chameleon. How long has it been in your care?
Handling - How often do you handle your chameleon?
Feeding - What are you feeding your cham? What amount? What is the schedule? How are you gut-loading your feeders?
Supplements - What brand and type of calcium and vitamin products are you dusting your feeders with and what is the schedule?
Watering - What kind of watering technique do you use? How often and how long to you mist? Do you see your chameleon drinking?
Fecal Description - Briefly note colors and consistency from recent droppings. Has this chameleon ever been tested for parasites?
History - Any previous information about your cham that might be useful to others when trying to help you.
Current Problem - The current problem that you are concerned about.

ive asked this question before and you said the exact same thing...
i have a explorarium
and am using a UVA/UVB mercury bulb brand:hobby sunlight
light cycle is from 7AM to 6PM
fecal features...mostly white with some browns
 
Is your UVB a tube style bulb? Your basking bulb, what watt? Do you have 2 basking bulbs? Only one is needed. What at the basking temps? and temps in the rest of your cage? Sometimes they want eat if the temps are not right. Have you had a fecal float since you got him?
 
okay the basking bulb is the UVA/UVB bulb its a mercury bulb
but for 1 hour in the day i use a 100W basking bulb..
the temps are around 30-35 C basking islands
and around 25-30 in the rest of the tank but it drop a few degrees when i put the UVA/UVB bulb
 
35 is way too hot. How old is your chameleon? I would not recommend the 1 hour cycle of the different bulb. I am not a fan of mercury vapors.

okay i turned it off
ill switch it back to the mercury bulb..
i dont see why there is a difference in mercury bulbs and linear bulbs

mercury bulbs are both basking a UVA/UVb just my benefits...
thats all i have right now..

This is what came to mind for me too. My veiled is getting ready to lay and quit eating for about 2-3 days. She hasnt laid yet but picked up eating good today..So that might be it. There is awesome advice on here but you have to take it. No point in asking otherwise.
 
Okay, I'm a little confused on your lighting, this may be what u have already and I just didn't understand but this is very important so sorry if its already what your doing... this is what u need.... a regular household 60-75 watt bulb in a clamp lamp fixture for basking, regular old soft light flouresent bulb, and most importantly a linier tube style 5.0 Repti-sun flouresent bulb, not compact, not a screw in type!! Here's some pics of the fixture u need and a seperate picture of the actual bulb. (the fixture in the picture has some off brand uvb light sold with it) hope this helps, pictures always help me!!) Again I'm sorry if u already have this, so how old is your Cham?

haha nvm i solved the problem
the crickets were too big!! :p

but the light is a mercury bulb containing UVa/UVB..

See my post above. Those two bulbs I recommended are the safe bulbs that do your little critter the best for his health.
