... Said no one ever; who have spent time loving and getting to know them :) I just want to say for an almost 8 month year old male veiled I love beating the stereotype. I love just putting out my hand and having this little snuggle bug run out to see me !!

They are my absolute favorite !!! It's a rush of emotions seeing him freely climb aboard my hand or arm. He's out hours a day, such a social boy. I think having a veiled being brought up handled in a safe and respectful way is the way to go. Only time I ever seen Pascal cranky is when I have woke him up lol

I agree 100%.... For some reason Veileds are my favorite.... Panthers may be more colorful but I just love veileds. My Rebel had me scared to pick him up because he would gape, hiss, and lunge at my hand. When I finally let him come out of cage onto his fr tree I picked him up with very little problem. He did gape and hiss but not once did he try to bite me. He was just scared. I believe that if I take my time and show him that I am not gonna hurt him he will be fine...:D

Alls it takes is patience and respect :)

I think veileds get a bad reputation from what everyone with no experience with them "believes" and parrots back the same nonsense with confidence. I love my veileds.:D

I've met some really sweet veileds. I'm spending time hand feeding my baby male and he's already warming up! I love seeing that tiny head come out from under a leaf for a tasty cricket. I can't wait for him to grow into a beautiful adult!

Zaphod isn't nasty at all! My wife is always rubbing him under his chin and sneaking a kiss :). He is shy until he gets out of his enclosure, but that kinda seems normal to me. He's just being a cham! I agree that they get a bum rap!

Ugh well my cham is one of the grumpy ones I guess.. I truly do love my little boy even though he can be a brat sometimes.

When he's moved into his big boy cage maybe he will calm down!

Sounds like you got a grumpy one lol I wouldn't give up though. There's a cranky one at the petstore here who's older and the most I can do is pet his tail, but every time I'm in there I try to get closer. Also I'm stubborn at times so if I get bit I won't be surprised. I just love them to much and mines so interactive I go try to play with them all now
