My veiled is 9 months old and hes outside soaking up some sun. Its 29C today. I misted him once already about 30 mins ago how often should I mist him to make sure he doesn't over heat. Last time I took him out it was 30C ish and he got too hot after about an hour.
On our days off we take just about all the chameleons outside for some sun. I keep the hose on them all day because of the heat here in Vegas, we use one of those back and forth hose attachments. I find that this allows them to hydrate up really well if they so desire; it totally cleans and soaks the plants and it gives us a good chance to inspect, handle and note anything that should be noted about our herd. Overall the weekends outside are some of my favorite times with the chameleons.
