Vet results

Well I took my female to the vet and had her examined and a fecal test done. The test came back negative for parasites. I must say I'm surprised I thought her sleepiness and lack of growth stemmed from a parasite. The vet said she looked kind of skinny but ruled out respitory infection. She has been eating better but will close one eye occasionally. Guess I will just have to wait it out and see what happens.

Well, I must admit I am shocked by that result as well. I would really focus heavily on hydrating her and making sure she is taking in ample amount of liquid.

Although I am not a huge fan of fatty feeders, it might be a good idea to let her eat some. How much is she eating right now?

She's eating about 5-6 crickets a day. Which is good because she wouldn't even look at crickets a week ago. She will sometimes eat a silk worm a day. She doesn't seem to be as into those as she used to be. She used to like wax worms but it's been a few weeks, I read they aren't all that good for them. The problem I have is she won't cup feed so it's hard to place wax worms so she will get them before they fall to the cage floor.

She seems pretty hydrated she just took a fresh poop and the urates were pretty white. Last night there was a little blood in her stool. Not a a lot just a little dab

Any amount of blood in the stool is not good. I would call your vet back and tell them about that.

Yeah, that is not good. You need to relay that information to your vet. She could have something tearing at her gut and intestines. Blood in stool is not normal..even if it is a little bit.

Are you perfectly sure it was blood? Could it have been a deep orange tint on her urates?

I'm not a 100% sure it was blood, it was a tiny speck. I just rode it off as some blood because I was almost positive that she had a parasite and I know that's a side effect. I don't know, some days she seems fine, she just looks a little thin and every once in a while she will have one eye partially closed. She doesn't do it a lot but I notice it does happen
