Vet transport

I gotta take trogdor to the vet today it turns out he has coccidia and hooks

What do you guys usually use to transport? I was thinking just a small Tupperware container with some paper towels.

Small cage that will fit in your car.

Give him something to hold onto (like a branch), in a small cage or box.

I like using cheap styro coolers for transport. Gives them a dark place to fall asleep in, and has built in padded walls.

I had a box with a branch supported inside. Poor guy, he was so scared, once i got him home he was literally shaking.

He is now being treated, the good thing about him being so aggressive is that when he tries to bite me i can just squirt the meds into his mouth. no unnecessary handling.

Sometimes I wish mine were aggressive. I literally have to pry their mouths open to feed medicine. I just starting injecting crickets and hand feeding to make sure they got the meds they need.

Used to use a small travel cage, but now I usually use shoe boxes. The darkness settles them down, reduces stress, imo.

I use shoe boxes as well, but after I put my cham in the box (With a branch that she can sit on, I hear her scratching the sides of the shoe box.

I dose mine while he's munching his breakfast (since they chew with their mouths open) - just slip the meds in during the first couple bites. He doesn't delight in it, but he has little choice; then I always make sure he gets at least one more bug to get the taste out of his mouth.

This is what I do it works very well if you like to darken it up a little bit you can put a blanket over it
