Hi,

Some videos I’ve done about my last trip in Madagascar in August 2011. You can see that, even if it’s not the perfect period for reptiles, we were pretty lucky, and we’ve seen a lot of very interesting species !

I will do the same for the last Parc we’ve visited : Vohimana in the East part of Madagascar (not far away from andasibe)

Montagne d’ambre (sorry, wrong name for the Uroplatus finiavana, I was tired ).

Very nice videoes, refreshes good memories from my own visit.
Did you do any technical readings, like temperature, humidity and uvb exposion in the different areas? I am specially interessted in these data for the location of the spotted Furcifer petteri.

Simply awesome! I cannot believe that one snake with the weird looking nose! Never seen anything like that! Love seeing all the different species and hearing the sound effects of the rain forest! Thank you so much for posting!

Hi everybody,

Happy yo see that the vids are loved :)

We have saved some datas from madagascar, NORChameleons. For the F.Petteri, all specimens were found between Joffreville and Montagne d'Ambre. We haven't found lots of adults, but if I do remember well, in 2-3 research there, we've found like 20 specimens, most of them had 4-5 months. Very difficult to found adult females, we've only found one.

For the temperatures, during the day, in Joffreville, like 26 degree celcius, and during night 18 degree celcius. Hygrometry was like 60 day, 80 night, but for this I'm not totally sure.

It's interesting to see that, when you walk from joffreville to the high part of the park, you have the different species with the altitude. At first, down from Joffreville, you can find Oustaleti, then, after joffreville, there is petteri and pardalis. Then the little boettgeri. Only when you go into the park, you found amber and ambreense...

:)

See ya

Nico
