Vitamin a

Hi guys
Is this the kind of vitamin A product that is safe to use for my chameleon
He has just got over a vitamin a defiencency and I no longer trust supplements
I've read quite a lot on here, where ppl are using human vitamin A instead

THOMPSON - Vitamin A Retinyl Palmitate 10,000 IU - 30
How often would you suggest I use it

Thanks
Really don't want him to get ill again

Thanks for the advice, I do have reptivite without d3 which I have been using before he got the defiencency and a breeder and my reptile vet told me that the vitamin A in this product is not stable after 2 months of using even thou the other vitamins and minerals still work.
I'm so confused and do not want to rely on supplements Incase this is true.
I use lots of dandelions and watercress, spring greens for my hoppers. But do not gutload my silkworms and butterworms. My cham will not eat crickets or roaches and the vet told me the superworms were not good for him as he had dense fat shown from his X-ray.
He is a good healthy weight but only eat 2/3 prey a day.
All husbandry is good the vet told me and I'm starting to get him in the spring sun a little most days.
I'm concerned that he is getting it again as he is missing his prey always aiming to the left and his eyes swell up a little and he is showing signs of gular edema.
Do you think this may be the case and to try the vitamin a capsules as a treatment only to see if it helps then go back to normal supplement regime.

Silkworms raised on Mulberry farms feed have been tested and verified to have sufficient levels of Vitamin A, so try to include some Silkworms in their diet, they are also low in fat. Switch out your suppliments regularly and I use two different brands alternating them. You can also include foods high in vit A in the diet of feeder insects 24-48 hours prior to feeding.

Thanks, he does love his silkworms and I feed the hoppers on dandelions and bee pollen that is supposed to have vitamin a in them.
So maybe use reptivite once a month and another good brand once a month, I may try the vitamin A capsule every months to see if it makes a difference and hopefully all will be well,
Does anyone know if gular edema can be either low vitamin A or high levels of vitamin A, as he does have a bit of a saggy bit under his armpits.

Its thought that too much of certain vitamins can cause gular edema but it is likely also caused at times by things like kidney disease.
