hi all, i recently got a new chameleon (veiled) and im not exactly sure how much and how often i should be giving him vitamin supplements.

i have calcium (d3)
calcium (no d3)
and a multi vitamin.

when i give him these supplements i am heavily dusting 1 cricket with desired supplement. any tips on how often i should do this would be great. thanks

I gave my young veiled dusted calcium-no d3 crickets every other day just a pinch in a cup of crickets then shake um around in a circle til they are dusted..... give them calcium with d3 once a week and give them vitamins once every other week......however these are just to fill in gaps.....you should be feeding your veiled greens and fruits also but certain one like spinach leaves romian lettuce green grapes with no seeds mine loves them and also be feeding them a variety of bugs.....like butterworms are a good source of calcium and silk worms are healthy not just crickets and dust will feed your veiled chameleon

What brand of supplement?
What do you gutload with?
Does the chameleon go outside or is it under UVB tube light?
Do you really only offer crickets?

i feed a variety of feeders, but i find it easier to just put the supplements with the crickets.

i take him outside weather permitting, but he does not have a proper screened enclosure outside so he sleeps inside and spends most of the day under a light.

the brand of supplement i am using is labeled "exo terra"

i gut load with a variety of vegetables and fruit if i can find any, i try to vary as much as possible and get the foods with the most nutrients. currently it is carrot shavings with kale bits thrown in there.

I dont use that brand, and so am not the best advisor in its use.
but generally speaking, I would dust most crickets with plain calcium most of the time. Calcium+D3 between twice a week and twice a month (depends on how much D3 is in the powder). And a vitamin supplement about twice a month, along with good gutloading.
