Decided I should consolidate Vladislav's pictures in one place, to track his growth and development. I can't believe how much he has changed in a month!

August 2
Just after I had to rescue him, as he'd somehow escaped his enclosure while I was cleaning it, broke into the cricket bin and ate just about his weight in crickets and couldn't get back out again. Naughty! A good drink and a poop and he was fine. Grumpy, but fine.

4 months old this week!
His colours are coming to come in now; lots of blues and greens with a hint of red in his gular area.

Vladislav is officially too big for his britches! Can't wait to see what new colours will appear He never wants to eat or even drink the day of a shed; I really have to work to get him to drink even a little bit. This shed took about 15 minutes; the fastest yet! He finally had a nice long drink tonight, just before his lights went off.

Aug 20
Huffing at my roommate, who is looking at him from around my shoulder. He really, really does not like her and immediately puts on his most intimidating colours as soon as he spots her.

After my roommate vacated the area. He's starting to show some pretty blues; not sure if he is a RB or a BB, since his dad is RB and his mom from a strong BB line. Half the fun is finding out!

Sleepy Vladislav. He is like a pastel rainbow when he starts to settle down to sleep; pale yellows and reds and blues.

He is finally in his big boy cage!
It's a modified bird cage- way more lateral space (which he seems to use more than vertical, to tell you the truth) than a conventional screen cage, and I no longer have to worry that he is going to tear his nails out on that screen mesh. himidity is holding at 60%, basking light and UV are all wired to the top. The branches, vines, and real and fake plants are all ziptied to the bars for added stability- though a left a few "loosey gooseys" which he actually prefers over the more stable branches. He is getting a bit ore huffy with me since the move- it's probably a mix of stress with the move and his hormones kicking in!

Look at those colours! I'd just turned on the lights here, and he is always a little grumpy when he first wakes up. But look at those reds!
He's currently eating crickets, small superworms, silkworms (his favourite), kingworms, medium black soldier fly larvae, waxworms (his current favourite treat), and the odd butterworm when he feels like it (not his favourite!). He is also gigantic. I hope to get a picture of him on my hand for reference, but he has been a bit shy since his move and I don't want to force him to interact too soon, so I've been letting him settle in.

Okay okay only one more!

He was heading down to his favorite sleeping spot, down amoung the real plants, and he was looking so pretty I just had to snap a shot! He wasn't very happy about it, to be honest.

September 26
Heading to his weekly shower! He likes the shower, but hates getting there. He is an independent guy; he wants to do things on his own, without my direct assistance. If I built him enough perches, he would probably climb into the shower on his own from his cage or freerange. But I'm really not going to do that, so he can just suffer being on my hand for the 10.3 seconds it takes to get to where he's going!

Also found his first sperm plug today, so... yay??

Trouble, thy name is Vladislav!
Just some pics I snapped today while he was being naughty and taking off from his free range. This is exactly why he is only allowed on the free range while strictly monitored.

(Note: All fans are turned OFF before he is allowed to wander to his free range from his cage!)

Vladislav is 6 months old!
I can't believe I've had this awesome beast for 3 months already; time really does fly. I'm so happy with my Christmas coloured chameleon!

Vladislav is 7 months old! Oh my gosh, he's grown up so fast.
I love sneaking up to him after I turn on his lights and catching him still in his PJ's.

The darker areas in his red bars are actually really really blue at the moment, but they don't seem to show up on my iPhone camera very well, which is too bad because it's super pretty.
