i get the feeling that you arent a cricket guy :D

LMAO now why would you sat that?? you would think it would be the other way around -- cricketts good roaches nasty -- but not for me No more being out smarted by a freaking crickett, no more crawling around on hands and knees looking like a lost puppy chasing a butterfly, no more HUNNY close the tent flap so the bugs dont get in the tent, but hunny were in the house not camping, If i never see a crickett again it will be way to soon LOL

lucky! the only way mine will eat one is if I hold it upside down infront of him for 5 minutes until my arm can't take it ha

Oh it took a long time to get them to not only eat from a cup but to accept the roaches. I put them in the cage faithfully every day for weeks even months, but its finially paid off

I agree they can be a pita. But you really should still use them. If for no other reaon than they are a good option for variety and easy to obtain vs having to raise/breed your own feeders. I'd still use em like a cpl of days a month. Jmo...

I'm right there with you...well at least until I realized he wouldn't eat them in the cup because they just sit there and don't move....And I can't free range them because they just run and hide. So unless I let it crawl on my finger and have him grab it or put it on the screen in front of him...I am back to sticky, smelly, I hate you jumping devil of a cricket. Stupid crickets!!!

(Kill joy LOL) Oh Ill keep an eye on them, If they even start to look like there bored with the roaches ill use them for a bit (YUCK) but ill mix it a little with suppers and silkies first maybe just maybe a horned everyonce in a while for a nice lil treat, but im happy as a proud new papa about the whole cup feeding roach thing, and if i do have to use crickets their eating them from a cup LMAO, Now next trick HOW do i get them to match there skin to my phone background???

Ya know I had that problem at first, what i did is any time i saw them around the cup I went over and just tapped the cage behind the cup to make them move a little after awhile they started watching for movement on there own, and then **BANG** like my grandfather on a one legged prostitute they were on them, and so far havent looked back..... ;)

I FEEEEEL YA! congrats.... One of the major factors that made me dive back in to chams was that I didn't have to keep crickets in my house anymore... and while my wife was WAaaaaay against the Roaches... she hasnt even noticed they are in the house yet..lol... She was dead set against crickets...... and to be honest... I kinda enjoy keeping the roaches... it sounds silly... but theyre almost like a whole other hobby now:D

P.S. I'll still be using Crickets... just not keeping them in the house in large numbers...

You must be talking about brown crickets? Why not get black? Not only are they really good for lizards and so easy to gutload with the good stuff, they hardly bounce either and are easy to keep (not that it bothers me - I can't tell you how happy I am to be the proud owner of 40 new baby locusts...;).)
Variety is best and if I stopped feeding my female her juicy fat black crickets every day I think she'd go into mourning............:D

thats exactly the problem I have with dubias!!! I have to hold one up for him to see it, then slowly place it on a stick somewhere near him AND nudge it to make it run around before he spots it....even then sometimes the dubia stops moving and he loses interest. He'll take crix out of the cup gladly but the dubias just sin the corner and he won't touch them :\

i hate crix!

:Dyou know there is a loose cricket in your house when you hear your mother or grandmother or sister screaming that there is one crawling up thier leg when they are trying too pee. I know that makes me giggle, how about you???:D
