Walking sideways and flattened horizontally?!

I have a female veiled chameleon 6.5 months of age, I DO intend on breeding her. I came home with a male an hour or so ago, he is probably around 3 months. They are NOT housed together, but they are in the same room in my home. When I went to put him in his enclosure, she obviously saw him and she started walking sideways, and flattened herself out horizontally (not the way she does when she is being "intimidating") she did not take her eyes off him and was reaching for invisible branches. Her colour did NOT change at all during this time, and my make didn't notice her at all....

I'm just wondering if anyone knows what this could mean? I don't plan on breeding them for ATLEAST 6 more months. I wish I took pictures but I was no where near a camera....

You say you are keeping them in the same room - is there a visual barrier so that when each cham is in their cage they can't see each other? Considering how stressed she got when she saw him this will be a must, plus you have at least a year to go before breeding them, IMHO.

There is a barrier between them, can't see each other. And yes, in six months she will be a year
