Wall Color

I was thinking about painting my room tonight, and I was wondering if there were colors that would stress a chameleon? I wanna say dark colors do but I can't remember exactly what I read.

I think it depends on the individual chameleon. Some are stressed out by certain other animals such as dogs and cats, some aren't. Some might not like the color red, some might not mind it. I don't think anyone can say for sure a certain color is going to make your chameleon stress. One thing though, if you are going to paint I am assuming you are planning on removing your chameleons cage. I would not want him to breathe those paint fumes.

I honestly have not purchased a chameleon yet but I do plan to. The chameleon I was probably going to get is a male veiled chameleon. The wall I was probably going to paint is a light tan.

Like Carol said.. Their is no way to know if the cham will mind it. I would bet it wont be a problem, but you never know! i remember reading on here about someones cham not liking green cool aid.. and someone elses that didn't like a squirt gun that was in the room. You just never know!

agree with carol some chams just dont like certain things

my cham zulu fires up and rocks all pissed by a particular branch i cut off LOL, he fires up yellow body and dark blue bars its hilarious:D

I was wondering about this colour thing before as well, and my concern was, are the disturbing colours different for different locales? You know, if males get aggressive at other males of their species, it makes sense that say the colour yellow wold be more disturbing to a mitsio than a nosy be, you know what i mean? or am i just making stuff up again? lol.
