Hey guys I'm new to this and iv seen people with beautiful healthy chameleons do exactly what I'm doing and it working great just wanna make sure everything was all good. I have soil substrate with no added anything. Full spectrum led light heat lights in back facing down (outside of tank) just making sure I'm not doing anything that could harm the little thing.

watch for airflow... most glass terraiums have vents at the bottom to allow airflow. Since it appears yours does not (maybe I am wrong) I would add a pc fan to the top and turn it on/off once an hour or so with an arduino

I had thought about that and didn't have a computer fan but I used an old salt water tank fan as a good airflow tool it makes just enough airflow to have a slight breeze and nothing more will that work or is it too little? I only keep it on and off all day normally not going over 2 hours each time. And off at night

I'm pretty new and I've never seen anyone use grass. It's sweet!!!!! Might do that in the future.

It's vary pretty and grows really fast :) be careful tho BC like I said not really the best at all this yet but IV seen plenty of posts saying if they eat grass there okay and people take them outside in the grass all the time. They seem to love it :)

Hey sorry I think I replied to you the wrong way lol new to this also lol

As @Virgil1972 asked, do you have a UVB source? Also, there are no areas for the chameleon to get out of the lights to self regulate temp. Another thing is, How are you providing water? You may need some larger leaves that can hold onto water droplets to provide for drinking opportunities. You will definitely need to closely monitor temp, humidity and air quality due to the lack of air circulation in the tank.

my led light says it provides UVB but I'm sure there are much better options out there what would u suggest? As far as watering I use a spray bottle and wet all my plants once a day then I spray the back glass 3 times a day so they can drink. I'm going to buy a mister system soon just BC I think there neat. As far as temp it stays perfect with just the LEDs on suprizing it keeps the tank reather warm. Like right now it says it's 74 degrees in there and I have a fan blowing in to create a breaze for airflow I posted a pic of it in an earlier decision. Thanks for all the feedback :)

Im pretty sure the LEDs that put out UVB light do not put out the right wave length for reptiles. @Venutus1 knows a lot about reptile lighting, he probably knows.

At this time I am unaware of any LED's that provide UVB... do you know the manufacturer and model number. If it does exist I want one..

Ummm not sure can't find any numbers on the outside I'll see if I can find it online and get back to you. I just remembered it on the box and we heat the house with wood so box is a good firestarter lol
