I did a search, through yahoo, for Chamaeleo Fuelleborni and was immediately hit with a virus/spamware bug. Has any1 else had probs with searching Chams lately? I didnt even have to go to a website, just typed in the species and BAM! right away!! Now I have a Dell computer website coming up all the time over and over and over!!!

I've ran yahoo's and my anti spam/adware programs and still not getting it.....so running my anti virus now......

This is one reason why I only search with google. I've never had this problem with them but have heard of others like yourself getting a bug from other search engines. Are you running a firewall?

Gross :)

I love my pc and I have Spyware Doctor and it stops all that stuff from coming through. Macs just aren't good for games and such. (in my opinion)

I have good anti everything....thats why I cant believe this happened. Hell, I'm using the same programs that Earthlinks head internal admin. uses......

mac's won't be safe for much longer. Word on the street is that there are viruses directed towards macs coming very soon. The only search engine that I find safe is google. And if you're worried about search engines saving your searches, they have features on most broswers that don't save anything. For instance I'm using google chrome and there feature is the incognito window...

I highly suggest getting Avast! antivirus. It has saved my computer and a friend of mine's company computer many times, it doesn't block gaming, either.

Haha yes the whole mac cant get viruses well since it is so popular now mac are actually getting viruses also so nothing is really safe except ubuntu and some other operating systems but even those are not completely safe. Just download AVG its free and it a very good anti virus and run housecall.com every once in awhile and you will be fine.

No, don't install AVG. It leaves huge files on your computer, and will often miss important files that have viruses, or mistake important files for viruses.

Err, Virii.
