Water on top of cage

Hey there!

I have yet to get a cham but I am in the process of getting everything set up. I got my mistking in and working yesterday I am very happy with the results. I have given two test runs and each time i have noticed the nozzle makes a lot of water gather on the top of the screen and slowly drip down.

I have a 30hx24wx16d cage from kammer creations and have the 20 inch zoomed florescent fixture with a reptiglo 5.0 inside. Since the fixture isnt long enough to fit across the metal frame it rests on the screen top which is also where the water gathers. Is this going to be a problem in the future? I can be a rather big worry wort and just want everything to be perfect before I get my little guy in.

I hope to hear back from everyone and see what you all have to say.

Well I have on enclosure that is in that same situation but the most it really does is just collect water along the edge where the lights lay. I found though if I tap the top where water is before it reaches where the light lays the water drips down there. Regaurdless, I don't think it's a PROBLEM, but more or less just a bother ha ha! Congrats on getting closer to getting your Cham! I'm newer at having them as well

Water and electricity and electrical fixtures never mix, there's always a potential as those hoods arent water tight. Elevating it may fix the problem.

That is a good point, If water is touching electrical circuits or the bulb even that's a problem, mine never have that problem I just have some water drops collect on rim of the lamp

You may want to contact mistking. to see what oy ucan do to stop the dripping. there are ways to do it.

Thanks for all the replies everyone!

Now I feel a little dumb, I messed with the nozzle a bit more and did get it to angle downwards. That should help, I will have to run another test run on the system here soon before I head to work
