Hey there,

Not exactly what you mean by HOT and cold but if you are looking to run a mister off your house water supply misting is easy since the pressure in your house usually around 60 psi is enough to get a good mist. you can head down to your local garden center and buy a misting nozzle put it on a timer and your rolling.

If you want to get a little fancy you can look into an atomizing humidifier

these are meant to be installed into a duct for your whole house but can be used in a single room and will alleviate the need for a humidifier. two birds with one stone. dont quote me on this but im going to buy one and see how it works.

im talking about taking a hot and cold water pipes and running them together to a fixture that i could adjust the water temp.i know how to run a mist setup off just a cold water line.it would be something like a shower fixture that you use to adjust the water temp.when i mix the hot and cold water together i want to adjust it to a comfortable temp for the chams.

its a fixture that you can run a hot and cold water line into and there 1 outlet where you would connect the mist line.does anyone have a setup like this or similar. i want to switch over because it will cost less for electric and we have good water pressure here.
i was thinking about making the fixture myself and trying it,it would be 2 valves that would connect to a Y fitting so i got 2 lines in where the Y is. then i would have the single end left where i connect the mist line.then i can use those valves to set the water temp,since ones hot and the other is cold i should be able to get a good temp and it should stay that temp. i probably lost alot a people with that but if anyone knows what im trying to talk about here let me know.

unless your cage is fairly close to your water heater or your system pre-heats the water for you, you may run into problems getting the water temp you want.

For example if you want hot water in your kitchen and it is say 50' of pipe from sink to heater...the entire 50' needs to be purged before you would get any hot water.

other variation that would change this would be recirculator pump and a tankless water heater close to your sink....

Hope that helps::D
