water supply

I think I may have found a brilliant idea for my clean water reservoir for my mist king. Brita Ultramax Pitcher. It's rectangle and has a spout I could connect a tube to and the water would always be clean, I wouldnt have to worry about bacteria.
Best of all, I could keep it in my cabinet and everything would be contained 8)

Anyone ever tried this type of thing?

It is a good idea.

How much water are you running through your cages per week?

If you have 1 cage, it may be big enough, with 2 cages, I go through 10 gallons a week, so filling a smaller container would be time consuming.:D

I use the same one for drinking cuz our built in one to the fridge wouldn't stop flowing when you hit it but yeah those brita things work great, I never thought about using it for chams

I am in the process of finishing my enclosure and one of the last things is the water reservoir. I only have in mind to have one chameleon. with a MistKing hooked up to this going off i believe 3x a day, if it lasts a week that would be superb.

done deal

that settles it, as soon as this blizzard is over ima get one and take it directly over to home depot to fit a tube to it 8))

wow I think my entire enclosure may be completed with the selection of water reservoir 8))) yippee!

bleh

ok, well after researching reviews from amazon I am not getting this, or any other water filtration system. I have always been a skeptic of these and figured if you dont keep up with the filters constantly, and if your local water is horrid, you will be drinking worse than tap water most of the time.
too many variables that even strict cleaning OCD like behavior wont fix. bleh I think ill just get 2 similar plain plastic dispensers and rotate them once a week cleaning and sterilizing once swapped.
