i jsut got a new cage for the reptile super show and i use a plastic cup with a little hole at the bottom as a dripper and the water usually just drips though the top of the cage, but since i started using it on the new cage the water just builds up on the top. does any one have a solution to this problem so that it drips though??

You can make a slightly bigger hole in the screen, by snipping it just abit so that the water can drip thru.

Camimom nailed it. Or just break the surface tension by poking the bottom of the screen so it starts dripping through. But making a slightly bigger hole is easy and works well.

Or better yet, just find a way to elevate the cup by like an inch or so. That will stop the pooling, and that way u have the luxury of being able to move the driller to different places on the top of thecage.

A good way to Do this is to use a hummus container or some similar dip container from the stor. Simply cut a hole in the middle larger than the hole in the cup, turn the container upside down and place the cup on top. Voila!

I use ice cubes on the top with no issues. I also recently invested in some planter dripper nozzles for when I'm at work and school all day and I got a pack of 10 dripper nozzles plus tubing for about $7 at walmart! i just poked a small hole in the bottom of a regular plastic cup, put the nozzle in and just sit that right on top of the cage (balanced on a corner to balance the weight of the water) and that works perfectly.

What I found works great. Take a large plastic soda bottle, dill one very small hole in the bottom (so it will drip about one drop of water per say every 2 seconds). Drill a hole straight through the neck of the bottle about an inch down from the cap (drill it straight so the bottle will hang level). Then run fishing line through the neck holes and tie it together and suspend it from the ceiling about a foot above the top of the cage.

Fill the bottle with water and small drips will come out of the bottom. Whats neat is the water falls at such a rate that when it hits the screen it actually disperses into lots of individual water droplets scattering about the inside of the cage... instead of one single drip. It really resembles more like rain in the cage than anything else I have seen to date.

Give it a try, my Cham is actually scared of the mister, but pays no never mind to the dripper... since its like plain old rain.
