the chicago rep con has come and gone, leaving me with lots free samples of calcium dust. like more calcium dust than i'll need for even next year along with the full jar i still have. i don't think i'll do this just on principal, but is this stuff and even the rep vitiman dust ok for humans too or will it be full of nutrients the human body naturally produces and be toxic or something? maybe at it to smoothies or get empty pill capsules and... no no, can't try it, won't go against my principals.

Why would you need to eat calcium powder?

And principals against what? Taking pills?

+1 for selling or giving it.... IMHO taking it yourself just seems like a really bad and borderline stupid idea.

dudes, calm down. i have absolutely no intentions of eating the stuff, i was kidding around :p what i am is merely curious about the toxicity of rep vitimans to humans. like how fruit isnt really good for dogs because they have a hard time processing vitiman c not created by their body (or so i hear). as far as i know the offered amino acid L-cystine in my chosen reptile vit powder can cause abnormal growth under the finger nails of humans and the beaks of mid-sized mollusks :(

hahaha alrite. My dog ate some reptivite earlier today so its kinda been the theme of the day lol

Not true for the dogs and Vitamin C. They are capable of processing their own unlike us. But some breeds like the Mastiff actually require it added to their diet. Check out a bag of dog food. Many are adding it to thier food but calling it an "unneccisary" addition.
L-cystine is listed in my One A Day. freakie
