Here are a few pictures of our veiled chameleon, about a year and a half is how old he/she is. We've placed a laying bin just in case. Here are a couple pictures Head, side view and the tail.
If it happens to be a female, have to say we're a little nervous about the laying bin situation
Any comment or advice would be appreciated! HELP US FIND OUT WHAT OUR BABY IS!!!

Like the folks said, female. Males have tarsal spurs on the hind feet--little bumps on the backs that stick out a bit.

A nice good full close up of the entire back mits will tell 100%, definitively, without a doubt, and questions what sex your Veiled Cham is. Right now your at 99% with those pics. Notice the spurs in the pic that means it's a male.

Sometimes also heavy drinking and smoking are good indicators of a Male.

When I get home I will take a picture of the back of the chameleons foot

OMG....that is sooooo funny. Made my day. Fiona might want to hang out with him...she likes "Bad Boys."

This is the back of the foot, but We are also nervous about the laying bin situation we made one with sand and put our chameleon in there and they wanted nothing to do with it. But when I took them out hours later our chameleon would walk weirdly like rock back and forth every step and stopped and was shaking. We're afraid we haven't put the laying bin out early enough and our chameleon doesn't want anything to do with it :-( we're really concerned please help.

OK 100% female! Don't worry about the laying bin everything you just said is normal. It can take up to 3-5 weeks from the time she becomes gravid. Is she showing receptive/gravid colors (brighter yellows, bright turquoise)? Is she going nuts running all over her cage? These are the 1st signs she is getting ready to lay. Here"s a link to my 1st ordeal with laying the second time was much easier https://www.chameleonforums.com/threads/doughnut-gravid-eggbound.147150/

What about the shaking and walking?

Looking at those feet, female! Congrats! I've recently found my "male" was a female. Once you know what to look for, it's very obvious.

Thats how Chameleons walk when they are nervous or think they are being stalked or when they are being cautious if they were high up in a tree canopy with a light breeze they would blend right in their movement would not be noticed as they would look like a leaf blowing on a branch.

Is this normal? She's not even hanging on the branch she's sitting on it. I just noticed today. She's eating normally but I wasn't sure if this was alright or not.
