Week old T. cristatus

My eggs are still a couple months away from hatching but Elisa hatched 15 a little over a week ago and sent 5 of them to me.
They have been here for 5 days now and are doing great!
I took this picture with Frank's iphone after they had gone to bed tonight so please excuse the quality.
Must get new camera!
Oh, and there are only 4 of them in the photo.

Keep them well hydrated. They do best in a free-range well ventilated setup that you can mist heavily a few times a day. They look very nice, it reminds me of the group that i raised last year from baby till full grown and gave me my first clutch last december.

best regards

Congratulations Brad....you know Washington is a great environment for T. cristatus...

Congratulations on getting some new blood of such a phenomenal species! I'm guessing you plan to pair these up with your existing ones?

I am hoping to create pairs with animals yet to hatch.
I have 6 good eggs that should be about two months away from hatching.
(fingers tightly crossed)
Contact me in about two years to see if I have any CB babies:)

So I have been feeding these guys fruit flies since they arrived last Thursday.
Today I got a new bunch of "pinheads" that were actually more like 1/8".
I threw about 30 of them in with the baby cristatus and they went nuts!
They are very aggressive eaters.

Brad when you finally branched out you did it with gusto. :) Great job with the babies. Looking forward to seeing the rest when they hatch.

UPDATE:

At almost seven weeks old all 5 are still doing great and growing well, they are easily twice the size they were when they arrived on Jan. 28th.
All completed their first shed within the last week.
