weird looking scratches.

So my chameleon was climbing on me and he climbed to far up my arm where I couldn't reach him. So i had to get him but I had to grab under him to get him. He seemed fine when I put him back in the terrarium but I noticed a few brown scratches on his side. I didn't check before hand when he came out if they were there or not, he tends to rub again a log part that was put in his home, so I can't tell if he just scratched himself, and i didn't noticed. Or it was from me trying to get him off my shoulder.. I may be just a littler paranoid but I wanted to make sure that he will be okay. I am attaching some pictures, to show what they look like.

The scratches seems to fade a bit, but it just concerns me because they are still there. I have tried to look all over the internet to make sure this wasn't broken ribs, or an illness of some sort and nothing has mentioned this. Can anyone help me figure this out?
(I would like to take him to the vet to get him checked but my only ride is my mother and she says "oh well he's fine".) Any response will help, thanks

He could have scraped against something. Chameleons do get into shenanigans. The skin doesn't look broken - I say keep an eye on it. If you are really concerned, you can put a little neosporin on the area (the kind without pain killer) to minimize the chance of infection. If anything changes (discoloration, swelling, bleeding, etc) - then you can plan a vet visit.

thank you for responding :3 Im a little calm about it now, but i will keep an eye on him; if its needed what kind of Neosporin (like the brand name, or what it may look like) would be best?

"Neosporin" is the brand name. You can also use Polysporin. Just don't use a product that contains any pain-relieving ingredients.

Oh wow, I'm so sorry, I guess my mind isn't really working as well tonight( slow day) Thanks! I will try to get either one in case of emergencies in the future, thanks again for the info
