Weird Ribs help!

Have you changed out her uvb light since you’ve had her for a year? The reptisun5.0 only lasts 6 months and the arcadia 6% only lasts a year. Her bulb may not be giving her the uvb she needs.

Yep! I put this one in 3 months back. I have more coming in this week just to make sure that the bulb is not the issue and that she is getting enough UBV. I was just telling a friend about this today she didn’t know you were supposed to, glad i was able to tell her as well for her bearded dragon! Not sure what bulb she uses but i assume same process. I took these 3 today. ribs look better, but in the last photo i feel like it looks like she has eggs? I have an appointment tomorrow at 9:40 for x-rays.

Hello! To anyone who has helped me thank you a million! I will attached updated pictures from today as well as an update from the vet tomorrow in the AM. She stopped eating a few days back, but today and yesterday I have had success with her eating. Let me know if her ribs look any better in your opinion. Also found out Nationwide offers reptile insurance!! How cool! I thought a few months back if it was even a thing, but never dove deep into seeing who has it!! @kinyonga @MissSkittles @Beman @Brodybreaux25

She stopped eating a few days back, but today and yesterday I have had success with her eating. Let me know if her ribs look any better in your opinion. Also found out Nationwide offers reptile insurance!! How cool! I thought a few months back if it was even a thing, but never dove deep into seeing who has it!! @kinyonga @MissSkittles @Beman @Brodybreaux25

Nationwide does have insurance but there is a two week waiting period for it to be effective. And they will not cover any problems she had prior to getting it. They will request any vet records you have.

If that is a real Ivy plant in there you should watch her for issues ingesting it. English Ivy can cause issues for animals.

Personally I think she is holding eggs... I think a vet visit is a good idea if your wanting to see where she is in the process. Just make sure they know chameleons. Do not let them give any dewormer or vitamin shots. This is something a vet that is not trained in cham care will do. They should not be given anything unless there is a real reason for it. If a fecal comes back with a parasite load then that would be a situation where meds are called for in most cases.

Her ribs don’t look like that at all anymore must have been the angle or something. But yes you are correct about the 2 week period. Wish i would have known before. As for the ivy she loves to hang out in it never eats it or tried. she loves a pothos plant sometimes to munch on. I was in the room the whole visit nothing was given to her. he said she probably has eggs and just needs time. I have had a dig box set up for her whenever she is ready. I make sure it’s clean or any fecal. Here are two pictures from today.

Glad your vet visit went well. Did the vet take any x rays? That would have shown eggs and their level of development.
I’d still remove and replace the Ivy with something veiled tested as safe.
