weird shedding

Hey everyone i'm new to this forum but thanks for all the info i was able to obtain here about veiled chameleons.
im not a native english speaker since im from Belguim so there might be some errors in this post.

but the reason for this post is because my veiled that i got from a local reptile store less then 3 weeks ago had began shedding a few days after i got him and parts of him simply wont shed and i am getting a little woried about this.

the chameleon is a male veiled chameleon of about 5 months old, i keep him in a reptibreeze cage of 100/60/60 (centimeters) i mist him about 3 times a day and feed him daily either crickets or medium sized grasshoppers and dust a batch of them twice a week, and he eats very good
i have already tried showering him 3 times.

lighting: reptisun 75W with uvA and uvB all in one
cage interior: 5 brances with 2 live plants and 2 fake ones

i will post a picture about whats bothering me its mostly about the non shed skin on his flank and on the top of his knees and on his spikes( if that is what you can them)

Welcome to the forums. Veileds do shed in sections when the are older but the dark coloring worries me that it could be a fungus. Please post some more pictures of him. What's his humidity like there?

I agree with Jann. When I first saw your post before viewing the picture I thought you might not realize that chameleons will shed in parts when they age. They might just shed their tail or their feet and nothing else, but when I saw photo that does not seem the case. The darkness under the shed is concerning to me. The spikes you can probably just flake off with your finger providing it is loose enough. I will flake off shed on my chameleons only if it does just that. I would never pull shed off that is attached to the skin. It is not ready to come off and you could harm them. Not saying you were going to do such a thing, but just pointing it out.

The distribution might also be compatible from burns from a basking bulb too close to his perch.
Do you have a picture of his enclosure and a few more pictures of him?

I thought of this being possible, but I guess he would have to be laying flat to one side(which they will do) to get the burn in that spot. Not sure if this is what is going on here.

his basking bulb is about 30 CM or 1 foot from his basking spot
but i personally don't think it is a burn since as you can see in the picture it isn't black at the moment( but i could be wrong)
some extra info: he was in a very large enclosure with about 30 other veilds

No, you are right it is not a burn, nor does it really look black in the new pics. I have had with some of mine where a patch is a little stubborn coming off. I would mist it directly with warm water to try and loosen it up.

Increase ur humidity in ur cage over all or try the indirectly splash lukewarm shower method on the shed skin body for 20 to 30min under ur supervision,it should loosen up the shed skins.

I would just mist it with warm water, spray or bathe him in water that helped with my Jackson ,

that is the problem i already tried all of those methods i even coverd the cage with a blanket so that the humidity can stay in it for a little longer and i mist him atleast 3 times a week

is it maybe worth a try to put some kind of gel on him that keep those spots humid for several hours?

If this is not a typo, that is not enough.
You need to do it at least 3 times per day, and double that if he is having trouble shedding.

I agree completely you must mist atleast 2 a day , I personally do 3 most on my Jackson. Just keep misting , itwon't fall off one day to the next , you need patience give it 1 week !

ow yeah i made a typo its 3 times a day sorry for that

so the problem is slowly going away when i began misting him 4 times a day (also on his body,he hates that) and lifting the lamp up by about another 10 CM
