at first i thought it was caused by the way her leg was stretched. But its that way even when her leg is normal

I don't know much about MBD but I know it causes abnormal shapes and its really bad, it can happen if you don't give your cham enough calcium.

Oh no .... I take her outside every chance i get ...i dust calcium on evey feeding i feed her daily(shes only 3 months)
maybe its too much calcium? You should go on the forums and click on health and search up MBD symptoms and maybe you can get some answers! I really hope it works out!

I just started dusting with the 2nd one 2 days ago & yes only that one. I take her out 1-3x wkly for about 5-10 min. I bought the uvb light when i bought her 2 mnths ago

You don't need to dust with her D3 calcium more than twice a month, especially since you are taking her out at least 10 minutes a week. D3 will not solve the MBD issues, she needs liquid calcium from a vet, especially with where her breaks are... laying may be a serious issue if you don't jump on it

until then there isn't much you can do other than what you are, except what are you gutloading her feeders with? Other than that just try to put lots of branches and things in her cage so she doesn't fall in case she has some weakening grip areas, also if you can't do a catch net, put a soft towel on the bottom of her enclosure (likely will need to change it daily) but it will cause less breaks to happen.

From the beginning of the time you owned her what did you dust with and how heavily and how often for each supplement??
What have you fed and gutloaded the insects with??
Does she have a UVB light on her cage that the light from is not passing through glass? How old is the bulb?
What brand and type (compact, long linear tube, etc) is the UVB? What is the basking temperature and what light bulb do you use?
What is the basking temperature?
Please be clear and specific!

Ive answered all these questions above but here it goes again.... There ar two pictures above of repti calcium....
-The one without vit D3 has been given for the past 2 months. I lightly dusted 10-15 medium cricked daily
-The one with vit D3 has been given for the past two days. & same lightly dusted 10-15 medium crickets daily.
-I mostly feed medium crickets, gut loaded with oranges, red apples, or blackberries.
-shes does have uvb she is in a full open air enclosure so no glass. I got the bulb when i got her 2 months ago. It is a Zoo med compact uvb.
-i use a blue day light bulb also ZooMed.
-basking temp im gonna eastimate 80-90° i only have one temp gage and it lower to the bottom and that reads in the 70's.
If u need to know anything else let me know. And thanks in advance for all ur help

Thanks you for answering.

I recommend using a wide assortment of greens such as dandelion greens, kale, collards, endive, escarole, etc and veggies such as squash, zucchini, sweet red pepper, sweet potato, carrots, etc and a bit of fruit such as melon, pears, (also apples and berries that you mentioned) etc.

Not to do with the spine curve...but I would exchange the blue light for a regular white incandescent household bulb.

To correct MBD (and I would ask a vet to make sure that's what it is) you need to give your chameleon a liquid calcium such as sandoz or gluconate until the bones, etc are strong again as well as keep supplementing properly to prevent it from returning. Appropriate temperatures play a part and UVB also.

With the young age of the chameleon it's possible that the mothers health has played a part in this.

Just to add, a good supplement schedule for veiled is as follows:
Calcium with NO D3 every feeding.
D3 twice per month (Every other week)
Multi-vitamin twice per month (Alternating weeks with D3)

Example of this is my schedule. Every monday I switch between D3 and the multi-vitamin and all other days are plain calcium with no D3.

Good luck at your vet visit and I hope she heals up quick!
