Went to petco today...

Really?I didn't think that it would work reporting them since they are a big company...they also had 2 dead snakes.

lol go for it don't forget to record it with ur cell dont forget to record the veileds all squished in that small tank

The Petco in my area has a female 6" ambilobe panther in their smallest tank if I had the $220 for it I'd rescue it and set it up proper for sure

The Petco In El Cajon Ca. Has veiled and Jacksons doubled up in small cages with only standing water and nothing to climb on! I have some poor pics ill post up in the morining.

Damn Petco is cruel, Man Im glad petco where i live doesnt have Chams.

Yeah, mine doesnt either....But I must say the reptiles they do have ,,,,have nice Enclosures for them....Who ever they have taking care of thier reptiles is doing a very nice job. The cages look like an exhibit at the zoo.

I reported my local petco after I rescued a female from them who was already showing signs of MBD ... at roughly 1.5 months. She passed away, unfortunately, during her first egg laying attempt. But they didn't carry chams for almost 8 months and I was there yesterday to look at the kitties and I checked out their chams - (4) 5-7 inch veileds, in one small tank, with a running water fountain, dead crickets piled in the corners, three males and one female. I tried to speak to their manager, but no one came out after 45 minutes of me waiting around.

I reported my Petco back in the day for their practices on keeping saltwater fish and corals and it seems it needs to be done here again

I frequent 3 Petcos and none of them carry chameleons. One doesn't carry any reptiles. It's not a "chainwide" thing, it's a local franchise thing. So, report away! The parent company should put pressure on the franchises to correct their care or refuse to carry the animals.

I went back today and only one was left...I rescued it.B) They keep bearded dragons in little 10 gallon tanks, aswell.

I can't stand some of those places. Petsmart is the same way at times. These places should just stick to selling anoles and fire belly toads.

Yeah... I was in Dallas this week on business and stopped in to PetSmart for a blue bulb. They had one baby veiled chameleon. Of course with sub-par lighting, a deep water dish, and a small fake plant. Sucks when they really dont care.
