Most breeders don't sell until 2.5/3 months of age. Even them they are still pretty delicate.

I'm thinkin of getting a sub-adult male, but then on lllreptiles there is a medium vieled chameleon, but I don't know the age or gender.

The mediums are about 6 months. There is alot of them so you just put male or female in the comments section. Some of the others are wyswyg where they have one unique animal and you get the exact animal pictured on the website.

You could always give the Adult Male Veiled Chameleon w/nip tail guy a good home. he should be friendly if he came from lll

Nip tail? What is that? Is it the same as a kink tail?

tail nip is when they were a baby it got bite by another cham in its cage.

The tail functions fine, just the very tip is missing.

Adult chameleons are much easier to care for, they also eat a LOT less then babies which is cost effective.

You could try searching your local classifieds or reptile rescue for an adult who is in need of a loving home.
