What am I doing wrong?

What do you mean by external heater?

Ok I reached out the the owner of framschams. I sent them the pic. He said it looks a little dry. He asked me a few questions. He recommends you do daytime misting sessions. And as long as the cage dries out during the day you will be fine. So I would do one in the morning shortly after lights kick on and then one late afternoon. For a cage that small I feel like 1 minute misting would be good. Really you just want all the plants to be wet and dripping.
Should I try a minute misting every six hours. One right before lights on (@ 7:30 mist) that would give a 1:30 mist and so on. I could do a hand mist before I go to bed about a half way time betweeb the evening mist and night mist.

So I would do it right after lights are on. Say 15-30 minutes after UVB kicks on. I do not think you need to hand mist. You are running a fogger at night.

With everybodies advice and support just thought you would like to see little Starburst.

Can you post an updated pic farther back so we can see how you have lights and the enclosure?
Here is my setup. Last picture is my concern with temp without using the heater last night. Have a misting to happen in a few that will add more water droplets, but also cool the cage again. Ask and advise.

Ok pull the cage more towards the front of that tub so it is more in line with the cutout section. It will give more airflow because that tub is going to hold more humidity. What is going on with the dome fixture? I would not be opposed to using like a 40 watt bulb in that. just to provide more of a gentle heat. just hold your hand right on the screen under the lamp to ensure it is not hot to your hand. It should be a very gentle warmth. Just to keep your ambient daytime temps more like 73-74.
