What are Some of Your Favorite Songs and Music Videos?

Yes Motherlode Chameleon, for some of us "Hooked on a feeling" was/is a great song. I love that era of music (60's and 70's).

Unlike today there was no "auto tune" or any other "mechanism" to make you sound good even if you weren't.
It was a place in time where as a performer or musician you either had it or you didn't.

Yes, I'm old and nostalgic:) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LpXSdrN-_Qc

I got it! It is a great song along with a couple or at least one great movie.

Band

And how could we forget this band in all their 80's gaudiness!- www.youtube.com/watch?v=UXQYcNSNIb8&feature=kp
Some feel the magic starts at around 3:54:).

Hey Decadancin,

My wife, daughter and I saw Pink live at the Prudential Center in Newark, NJ (dec. 2013) and we enjoyed it much:).
Like you said, allot of harmony in most of her music..

Your phrasing in your post above (clearly in response to mine) sounds more like feelings of "condescension", than feelings of "nostalgia".

Regards.

Not at all, remember, the written word is often more difficult to discover meaning in than the spoken. I'm not judging. That's just the stuff I was feeling nostalgic for at that moment! ;) Actually, I'm kinda glad you picked an Elvis song most people wouldn't usually pick . That's what got me thinking!

I often will jump from someone's previous post into a bunch of related (or not so) songs in this thread.

By the way,...

Since you brought up one of my all time favorites in your last post, this is from one of my all time favorite albums...

Hope you enjoy! :D

Nice recovery!:D
Kidding. Yes, intent/meaning (without inflection through text) can often get hazy.

Fair Warning? Coincidentally, this may be my all time favorite as well, certainly my favorite by Van Halen:). I'll admit listening to them way too much as a young man.

I'm sure you remember the song titled "Dirty Movies" on that album.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l7rS3itMibE&feature=kp

I always thought it was pretty boss when the rhythm and bass guitar came in (right at 0:47).
