What are Some of Your Favorite Songs and Music Videos?

considering you like alkaline trio and less than jake, here is my friends band that is on tour right now across the east coast of america. i actually used to play bass and then guitar in this band and got to play CBGB's before the closed the NYC venue down. this video was shot a few blocks away from my house. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V9BZLRFBCio

and here are just some random good bands to get into...

hot water music - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Dmy7PZuk4E0

bouncing souls - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QP2cOXCTroA

masked intruder - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z207SlO5aUU

mean jeans - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a7J2J_pRoiA

joyce manor - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KesjqVaY-e0

let me know what you think. that's just the punk/hardcore genre suggestions, i have plenty more, avail, fugazi, screeching weasel, operation ivy, the specials, the slackers, chuck ragan are all worth listening to.

Good video's and songs. I have got that Bouncing Souls album. My brother is huge about Punk and Ska music. However he live in Vancouver BC and whenever I'm in Santa Barbara or Berkeley I pick him up new bands albums or good compilations to send to him. I'm going to write some of these on my list of bands to pick up. Thanks!!

As for me I listen to all American music and imports are extra credit for me... Cheers

Voltaire - The Dirtiest Song That Ain't

Rammstein - Keine Lust.. FAT SUITS! ^_^

Joe Letz doing an opening for Rammstein, talked to him a bit while rammstein was playing, pretty cool guy..except he shook hands with his left which is fine with me cuz I'm a lefty anyway, Also Megan Massacre from NY Ink was with himsoo..yea ...bad quality, some recording on youtube, worth the share though

Combichrist - Get Your Body Beat - They also opened for rammstein twice.. and Joe Letz is their drummer.

I listen to Rammstein and have got one of their albums. If I go to the Hamm Germany reptile show I'm definitely going bring my Rammstein CD's to prep for the biggest/most epic reptile show on the planet!!

Did some crazy badass just post up some epic Neil Young?.....and was I in just the mood to appreciate it? Can he make that geetar scream as well? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0O1v_7T6p8U

Here's Fatboy Slim actually playing bass (and wearing a cardigan :D)- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fudOagMeVKk

Here's the band that the songwriter from the Housemartins formed later (it also neatly answers those questions I asked....) - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CP7oK-Pndbw

One more from The Beautiful South - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TeiGwfVaX_k

Great song, great cover version, more Neil Young- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6cusVoNKZF8

As a product of the 70's I'm still a sucker for good ol' Rock n' Roll. I like complex arrangements too so my top two all time faves are of course RUSH (great lyrics, make ya think, stellar musicians) and not from the 70's, TOOL (great lyrics make ya think, stellar musicians).

TOOL

Classic RUSH

Fixed ;)

...and hell yeah...

Must list some other faves, no videos though:

PINK FLOYD!!!
Chevelle
Breaking Benjamin
Echo and the Bunnymen

More later. It's a long rotating list.

Stupid Youtube has taken down one of my links.........Here is Hull band 'The Housemartins' singing an a capella version of an Isley brothers song. Now it's live! Check out Paul 'the voice' Heaton - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o-uUS6bSOP4

Here is probably the most famous song by them - Happy hour :) - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7_TMUJIWwyI The irony is so deep in this one that even many Brits don't get it ;)....like an iron fist in a velvet glove....

I have never heard of Echo and the Bunnymen. Whats a good song from them? The rest are great bands. I had to double check the thread and nobody has posted any Pink Floyd or Chevelle songs. I was surprised!
