what breed is friendliest

it depends how u treat your chameleon you can start by feeding him crickets from your hand then you can pet him every now and again or her then start holding him/her every now and again but remember this is a verey lengthy process

Jackson

:):D:):D:):D:):D:):):D:):D:D:)

I have a 3 week old Jackson chameleon and he can't get any more gentle or friendly!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Whenever I come near his habitat he practically runs accross his vines to the front of the habitat and crawls up the screen. I hold him for at least 3 hours a day all together. And he loves every second of it!!!! Every night at about 9:00 i take him out and put him on my shirt and he sleeps right there on my shirt for like 90 mins while i watch tv.I have friends who have had 13 veileds and 15 panthers. ALL of them where NOT FRIENDLY!!!!!!!!! If you get another chameleon GET A JACKSON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
You won't regret it!!!!!

i think my two jacksons are good examples of sweet and easy to handle chameleons. My male always comes to the front and climbs right onto me. My female is becoming the same.
My veiled love me to pet him (in his cage behind the large mesh), but he's not comfortable riding on me. Or outside the cage at all. I could get bit if i'm not completely careful. And yet he's a big baby inside when i poke my fingers through to touch him.
So my vote goes to jacksons all around. :d

i couldn't agree more!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have a veiled Chameleon and he is not so friendly, doesnt like to be bothered.
Are other types of Chameleons any friendlier?

a very large and very tame species outstalet they are awesome chams you can normally get then for 50-70$

My only experience is with my one senegal & he is the friendliest little dude! He greets me when i come home & waits for me by the door of his Viv. His new favorite thing is helping me do the laundy. As soon as he sees me grab the laundry basket he paces the cage then when I open the door he rushes down my arm & on to the top of the clothes pile.
I've talked to many other senegal owners & haven't heard of a single one not being super friendly
